Healthy Living > Sleep Better

Good health helps us achieve a high quality of life. Fitness makes us want to live it every day. If you agree with these three premises, keep reading. Walk 10 Minutes a Day and Increase Your Fitness Level Old thinking was to work out in a sweat-filled gym for hours a day.

Precompetition Nutrition

You may have a swollen lump the size of a golf ball. Suddenly, when you're kicking a soccer ball, cutting across the field in football, or pushing off while playing in line hockey. You have strained your adductor muscles, which run down the insides of your thighs. Apply ice ASAP for 20 minutes and then every two hours the first day.

Tennis Fitness

Ice ASAP for 15 minutes; repeat four times during the first 24 hours. Don't run through the pain. Tape your shin from two inches above the injury to two inches below.

Small decreases don't cause problems, and in most cases, they go completely unnoticed. There are three levels of dehydration: mild (where you can lose 3% to 5% of your body weight), moderate (6% to 9%), and severe (10% or more). The most common cause of dehydration in teens is gastronomical illness, sometimes called the stomach flu.

Hydration

Lay off the offending activity, and don't lift anything above shoulder height. Once the pain subsides, begin shoulder/rotator-cuff stretching and strengthening exercises, icing the injured area for 15 minutes after each rehab session.

See your doctor for advice before trying a carbloading diet. Talk to your doctor about how much exercise is right for you. A good goal for many people is to work up to exercising 4 to 6 times a week for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Remember, though, that exercise has so many benefits that any amount is better than none.

You don?t need to spend long, boring hours running or biking to get the body you want ? use intervals to get in super shape in less time than you thought! Interval training involves alternating between high and low intensities for specific lengths of time during a workout.

Eat Right For Sports

Some of the top bodybuilders you see onstage today are some of the smartest bodybuilders as well, which is no accident. You see, bodybuilding isn't a hit-or-miss activity. To continue building your physique, you need to know all you can about what you're doing. Ignorance will get you nowhere but into a mire of frustration and injuries.
